Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modeling career there. She made her acting debut at the age of 16 in the TV production Her Costly Affair. The actress struggled for a small role for her in Starship Troopers. Amy was unable to make the transition from modeling to acting because model actors aren't generally considered an actor of high quality. They're often given small and unimportant parts. Amy was determined to succeed and eventually she was offered bigger parts beginning at The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Amy later stepped into lead roles in 2005's romantic comedy Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy finally got the recognition she'd been seeking since the age of 10. She went on doing some major films such as the Crank series starring Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she portrayed a well loved recurring character.
